Steven is an associate in the firm's International Debt Capital Markets group based in London. He advises originators, lenders and arrangers on a variety of securitisation and structured finance transactions involving, amongst others, automotive receivables, trade receivables, alternative finance receivables, SME loans and sustainable finance arrangements.
The product of two cultures and fluent in three languages, Steven feels most at home on complex cross-border deals involving multiple jurisdictions. He has spent six months in the firm's Paris Structured Finance team where he advised a mixture of English and French clients, as well as six months on secondment to a U.S. based bank advising on a broad range of asset backed transactions.
Steven has a particular interest in sustainable finance and the role securitisation can play in the energy transition.
Representative experience
Advised the junior investor on a facility backed by SME loans guaranteed by the U.K. government under CBILS, one of the first such securitisations of its kind.
Represented Citi and Piraeus Bank as Arrangers and JLMs on a securitisation of auto-lease receivables from the Greek franchisee of Avis, the largest non-banking securitisation in Greece to date.
The seller on a competitive auction process for the sale of a significant portfolio of life time mortgage loans
Advised a pool of international and French banks on the structuring and successive upsizes of a USD1bn asset-backed facility for a leading worldwide shipping group.
Advised Ford Credit Europe and various European Ford entities on their retail and wholesale automotive securitisations in the UK and the EU.
