Matthias Samol works for national and international companies on all issues of corporate compliance as well as administrative and criminal aspects. He regularly advises on cross-border internal investigations for Fortune 500 and DAX 40 clients in particular. His focus lies on the automotive and transportation sector as well as the banking and financial services industry.
Matthias advises on the organization and management of internal investigations. He has extensive experience in the set-up and conduct of e-discoveries and employee interviews. In addition, he accompanies and supports clients during dawn raids and communication with authorities.
Matthias also advises companies on the interface between internal investigations and post-investigative civil proceedings in order to ensure a consistent approach, particularly in a multitude of legal proceedings.
During his legal training at the Higher Regional Court of Freiburg, Matthias worked, inter alia, at the Public Prosecutor's Office of Freiburg and an international law firm in Frankfurt and London.
