As a member of our Appellate practice, Drew focuses on federal appellate litigation. His briefing experience spans every level of the federal judiciary and has covered a wide range of high-stakes issues, including in the areas of administrative, constitutional, and criminal law. Drew has argued before multiple federal Courts of Appeals and has participated in merits, cert., and amicus briefing before the U.S. Supreme Court. 

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Drew was an attorney in the Office of the Texas Solicitor General, where he represented the State of Texas before federal and state appellate courts. Drew previously served as a law clerk to Judge Norman K. Moon of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia and Chief Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He attended the University of Virginia School of Law after graduating summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Baylor University’s University Scholars program.
