Joy Baur advises national and international clients on corporate and commercial law matters and assists in complex M&A transactions as well as in structuring joint ventures.
She joined the firm's Corporate/M&A practice in 2020 and focuses on transactions in regulated industries, particularly in the energy and aviation sectors.
Joy studied law at the University of Munich with a focus on corporate, capital markets and insolvency law. During her legal clerkship with the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court she worked in the Hamburg office of Hogan Lovells, for the German Canadian Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Toronto as well as for a U.S. law firm in New York City.

Advising Chubu Electric Power Co. Inc. on participation in a geothermal project in Geretsried, Germany.
Advising Banijay Germany GmbH acquisition of Sony Pictures Film- und Fernseh Produktions GmbH.
Advising EB – Sustainable Investment Management (EB-SIM) and LHI Group on the acquisition of the Swedish windfarm project Aldermyrberget with a capacity of 71 MW.
Advising KIRKBI Invest A/S and William Demant Invest A/S on the sale of their indirect interests in the German offshore wind farm Borkum Riffgrund I with a deal value of EUR 350m.
Advising Encavis Asset Management on the acquisition of an onshore wind farm in Ireland.
