Lydia Jones is a banking & finance lawyer within the Infrastructure, Energy, Resources and Projects team.

Lydia advises international financial institutions, funds and corporations in connection with a range of domestic and international project and infrastructure finance deals, including, acquisition finance, general corporate finance as well as advising funds and their lenders on fund financing arrangements. 

Representative experience

Advised Equitix's Lenders on the refinancing of the Knowsley Street Lighting PFI Project.

Advised Equitix's Lenders on the refinancing of the Southampton Street Lighting PFI Project.

Advised lenders on the non/limited recourse capex financing for fibre roll out across parts of the UK. 

Advised lenders on the acquisition and term capex financing for the acquisition of two port terminal businesses.

Advised a syndicate of international and local commercial banks, life insurance companies and cover providers on the US$3bn financing of the Changfang and Xidao Taiwanese offshore wind projects.*

Advised strategic creditors on a landmark airline restructuring and recapitalisation plan, which was implemented using Part 26A of the Companies Act 2006.*

Advised lenders on a refinancing for the acquisition of a Spanish operational wind portfolio (seven onshore projects).*

Advised lenders on the €110m project financing of the 200 MW Los Escuderos photovoltaic portfolio, comprising four Spanish plants.*

Advised senior lenders on amendments to the finance and project documents in connection with the Nottingham Streetlighting PFI project.

Advising both lenders and funds on a number of fund financings, including amendments and renewals of existing fund facilities.
