Divya has a broad background in financial regulation, dispute resolution, white-collar investigations, policy, development finance and corporate/commercial law with experience in Europe, North America and the MENA region. She currently focuses on equity and debt capital markets as part of the Corporate & Finance practice. 

She is qualified in New York and England and Wales, and working towards her Ontario qualification.

Libertine’s (developer of Linear Generator technology) GBP 9 m initial public offering on the LSE.*

Victoria PLC’s acquisitions of Turkey based Graniser Ceramics (EUR 48 m), California based Cali Bamboo Holdings (USD 76 m) and Florida based International Wholesale Tile LLC (USD 28.5 m).*

GBP 16.4 m private placement of approximately 6 m shares of WANdisco, a data activation company, with existing shareholders and new shareholder Coast Capital Management*

COVID-19 diagnostic test provider Excalibur Healthcare Services’ exclusive licence and development agreement with AIM listed Sensyne Health for the use of its tests.*

Alternative investment firm North Wall Capital’s GBP 100 m litigation funding partnership with PGMBM, a law firm focused on environmental, social and corporate governance cases.*

Acted for global institutional clients on securities fraud litigation under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA)*

Acted for an individual subject to an investigation by the Financial Conduct Authority.*

Defended senior management of a public pension fund against bribery claims.*

Advised on confidential shareholder disputes relating to shareholder exits, board-level disagreements and exclusion allegations, including unfair prejudice petitions.*

Pursuing and defending various defamation and cybercrime claims in the UAE including criminal complaints and civil claims.*

Assisted with the resolution of disputes arising from telecommunications infrastructure projects in three African countries valued at c. USD 0.5 b for a major telecommunications supplier.*

Defended a Big 4 accounting firm in criminal investigations and high-value civil claims in the UAE and Qatar arising from audits of a client engaged in a complex fraud.*

Assisted the Yemeni Ministry of Oil & Gas in a USD multibillion energy arbitration at the ICC*
