Sian Howes acts in relation to a wide range of commercial real estate matters including investment sales and purchases, development, lettings and pre-lets, portfolio management and the real estate aspects of financing /re-financing transactions. 

Sian acts for both domestic and international investors across a full range of real estate assets including London office schemes, in and out of town industrial / warehouse units, major shopping centres and PRS assets (with a particular focus on the student accommodation and "build to rent" sectors). Sian has also acted for a number of lenders taking (and on the flip side, enforcing) security.

Representative experience

Acting for M&G Real Estate managed funds on the acquisition and disposal of a variety of warehouse, office and retail assets across the UK.

Acting for The Crown Estate on the development of its retail and leisure scheme at Rushden Lakes, including strategic site assembly and negotiation of pre-lets.
Acting for IQSA on the acquisition of existing accommodation and development sites (both direct and indirect acquisition structures) and re-financing portfolio assets.
Acting on The Crown Estate's Energy, Minerals and Infrastructure (EMI) portfolio, with a particular focus on offshore wind and transmission assets.
Acting for an Islamic investment bank on the forward purchase of student accommodation in the UK.
Acting for a Malaysian pension fund on the acquisition of a small portfolio of student accommodation assets in the UK.
Advising Aberdeen Standard's new Pan-European Residential Property Fund (ASPER) in connection with the forward funding of a "build to rent" development in Birmingham.
Acting for Wyevale Garden Centres on various bolt-on corporate acquisitions.
Advising a public limited company on the sale (and leaseback of part) of its UK real estate and manufacturing assets to a joint venture company.
