Whether it’s a complex commercial dispute or a white collar investigation, Daniel Gross draws on his broad litigation experience to deliver practical solutions. 

Daniel has experience representing clients in all stages of a case. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Daniel was an associate at a major law firm handling investigations and commercial, securities, class action, and trademark cases. 

Daniel also has a diverse pro-bono practice. He has successfully advocated for the restoration of benefits for a client through the Homeless Advocacy Project, obtained a favorable resolution for a client in a Prisoner Civil Rights lawsuit, represented  a “juvenile lifer” at resentencing, and cowrote a Supreme Court amicus brief in an Establishment Clause case.

In law school Daniel was an Articles Editor of the Environmental Law & Policy Annual Review and served as a judicial intern for then United States District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, L. Felipe Restrepo. Prior to law school, Daniel interned at the United States Sentencing Commission and then worked at the Federal Trade Commission where he assisted with merger reviews and investigations.  

Representative experience

Defended company and president / shareholder in derivative action alleging claims of breach of fiduciary duty.*

Represented real estate investment firm in multiple disputes over letters of intent.*

Defended District Attorney's Office against petition seeking disqualification for alleged conflict of interest.*

Advised insurer on matter involving the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.*

*Matter handled prior to joining Hogan Lovells.
