Emily Goldenberg has extensive experience helping clients in federal and state court litigations, including multidistrict litigations and class actions, as well as government investigations. Emily frequently represents companies in litigations and investigations brought by State Attorneys General. 

Emily has represented multinational companies across a wide range of industries, including financial technology, telecommunications, health care, automotive, and publishing. She has experience in all stages of litigation, with a particular emphasis on pre-trial motions and document discovery and production. 

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Emily clerked for the Honorable Robin M. Meriweather of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for two years. She also worked as an associate at another international law firm in Washington, D.C. Emily graduated with honors from University of Michigan Law School. During her time in law school, she was a member of the Michigan Law Review and on the executive board for the school's Oral Advocacy Competition.

Representative experience

Represented client in case brought by state attorney general involving financial technology product and consumer protection claims, resulting in the dismissal of most of the state AG's complaint.

Obtained complete dismissal of putative class action brought against financial technology company raising consumer protection claims.

Represented client in antitrust multidistrict litigation involving pharmaceuticals, obtaining successful result at the motion to dismiss stage.*

Represented several multinational corporations under investigation by the Department of Justice and state attorneys general.*
