Peter FitzGerald is an experienced lawyer specialising in complex commercial litigation, who previously practised at the Independent Bar. Representative experience

Representing BAT in a range of matters including contested indemnification liabilities and English High Court proceedings re the recovery of around US$1bn dividends.

Representing a senior British banking executive charged by the SFO and investigated by the FCA in relation to capital raisings conducted during the 2008 financial crisis.*

Representing a major European oil and gas company and its CEO re accusations that they had bribed the Prime Minister of a European state in order to procure control of another company.*

Acting for a British bank in the LIBOR and FX investigations.*

Acting for the international human rights campaigner Bill Browder re the global 'Justice for Sergei Magnitsky' campaign and repeated attacks on him by the Russian Government.*

Acting for an individual being prosected for fraud in one of the extremely rare criminal cases brought by the Holy See.*
