Since officially joining the firm, Kayla has been committed to the public interest, making significant pro bono contributions to the community. As a participant in Hogan Lovells' Pro Bono Rotation Program, Kayla contributed to a wide range of matters that include civil rights protections for the incarcerated, election integrity, gender equity in health care, immigration naturalization and defensive asylum, defense of domestic violence survivors, and anti-discrimination in the use of public accommodations.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Kayla was an advocate for low-income clients seeking social security disability benefits at the Stephen and Sandra Sheller Center for Social Justice at Temple University Beasley School of Law. Additionally, Kayla was a member of Temple Law's moot court competition team, where she clinched victory in the 2022 I. Herman Stern competition and earned the National Order of the Barristers award.
Kayla has a strong foundation in litigation, having worked as a paralegal in law firms in New York City and Austin, Texas.
