Practice groupLitigation, Arbitration, and Employment
Elizabeth Jose's unique practice combines defending health insurers in commercial litigation - particularly class actions and multi-district litigation, and in congressional investigations.
Elizabeth's cases have involved many areas of substantive law, including antitrust, fiduciary duty, the consumer protection act, and contract claims. Elizabeth has won early dismissal of claims at the initial pleading stage, secured decertification of a class action, and won a defense verdict in a class action liability trial. Elizabeth's litigation experience runs the gamut from e-discovery, depositions, and motions practice to trial and settlement negotiations.
Elizabeth also represents clients facing high-profile Congressional inquiries by various House and Senate committees in responding to requests for documents, preparing witnesses for congressional hearings and interviews, and negotiating the scope of requests with committee staff.
