Alex is a Senior Associate in Hogan Lovells’ litigation practice in London.

Alex’s practice focuses in particular on complex civil fraud, asset preservation and recovery.  He has extensive experience in policing worldwide freezing orders, including in relation to crypto-assets, and he has helped clients break new ground in obtaining powerful ancillary relief to ensure their freezing order’s effectiveness.

Alex is experienced litigating in off-shore jurisdictions, pursuing foreign law claims in England and enforcing English judgments domestically and overseas.  He advises on proceedings under section 423 of the Insolvency Act 1986 and on winding-up petitions.  Alex also acts in proceedings before the Family Court.

Alex takes an active part in the firm’s award winning pro-bono programme for victims of crime in the UK, including victims of domestic abuse, human trafficking, forced labour and terrorism.

Representative experience

Acting for JSC CB PrivatBank in relation to multi-billion dollar fraud claims against the Bank's former shareholders.
