As an experienced associate in our Employment practice, Ellie advises on a wide variety of day-to-day employee-related matters.  She advises on complex employment tribunal claims and other contentious matters, including individual terminations, performance, redundancy, grievance and disciplinary procedures.  She has experience acting for clients in High Court litigation for breaches of contract (including post-termination restrictions) and County Court proceedings for goods and services discrimination.  She also coordinates multi-jurisdictional advice and project work and guides clients on the employment aspects of corporate transactions, including property-related transactions and group restructurings.  Ellie is an enthusiastic and strategic employment specialist who assists clients in a broad range of industries and jurisdictions to meet their commercial and legal objectives. 

Representative experience

Advising on and coordinating an advisory project assessing current practices in over 50 jurisdictions for a multinational client

Undertaking secondments to the inhouse legal disputes team at multiple leading international financial institutions

Advising a New York Stock Exchange listed company on its acquisition of an international wealth solutions and insurance provider

Advising a large pharmaceutical group on the employment aspects of its purchase of a pharmaceutical wholesaler

Acting for pharmaceutical, engineering and financial institutions in the defence of complex unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and discrimination claims

Advising Akamai Technologies on the employment aspects of its acquisition of Ondat, a cloud-based storage technology provider

Acting for a global financial services and tech provider on concluded Tribunal proceedings by appealing to the Employment Appeal Tribunal and mitigating the compensation awarded at a Remedy Hearing

Acting for financial institutions in the defence of goods and services discrimination claims
