Blair Decker is a zealous advocate in the courtroom and a trusted advisor to her clients in crisis. She is an award-winning Pro Bono Attorney, and she oversees the onboarding of all new matters in the U.S. Pro Bono Department.
Blair's practice includes representing clients in D.C. Superior Court, including survivors of domestic violence in Civil Protection Order (CPO) cases, victims of sexual assault in criminal cases, and tenants in eviction proceedings. She also mentors junior associates on these cases and has built a robust capacity for domestic violence-related matters at the firm. Blair helps to staff the domestic violence clinic, and she co-authored a training manual on litigating CPO cases on behalf of domestic violence survivors.
Blair is also responsible for ensuring proper staffing and support for our lawyers in their pro bono work. She also managed the administration of the Empowering Girls and Women Initiative and assisted with the launch of the Global Citizenship Policy.
Blair has received numerous awards for her work, including a Good Citizenship Award in 2019, Idealist of the Year in 2017, DC Volunteer Lawyers Project (DCVLP) Volunteer of the Year in 2017, the Network for Victim Recovery of DC (NVRDC) Firm Voice Award in 2016, and the DCVLP Law Firm Volunteer of the Year in 2015. Blair is on NVRDC's Board of Directors and DCVLP's Junior Board.
