Maral Clay focuses her practice on joint ventures, fund formation, mergers and acquisitions, and other transactional tax matters.

Her experience includes advising on REIT formation and compliance, securities offerings, and various strategic transactions. 

Maral received her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she served as senior staff editor for the Tax Law Review. Prior to law school, Maral worked in a prominent Washington, D.C. lobbying shop, where she spent her time on various issues relating to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.

Representative experience

A healthcare facility REIT on multiple strategic joint ventures. 

The New Terminal One, including financial partners Carlyle, JLC Infrastructure, and Ullico on the US$9.5bn expansion of JFK International Airport by The Port Authorities of New York and New Jersey.
