Having spent time practising in London, Brussels and Dublin, Christopher Peacock is able to bring a truly international perspective to cross-border transactions and legal issues. He has a broad range of experience advising clients on all aspects of EU and UK competition law, EU and national/domestic merger regimes, and foreign direct investment regimes and in particular the UK's National Security and Investment Act.
He advises across a wide variety of business sectors, including automotive, consumer, financial services, life sciences, technology and telecoms, real estate and sports, media and entertainment. Christopher is a senior associate in our Antitrust, Competition and Economic Regulation practice.
Representative experience
Advising clients on filing obligations under the National Security and Investment Act, including on in-depth national security assessments and possible remedies to assuage government concerns.
Advising on merger control, including successful UK phase 1 unconditional clearance decisions for Kustomer ($1bn acquisition by Meta) and West End landlord Shaftesbury (£5bn merger with CapCo).
Advising a large European financial institution on a major global investigation being conducted by antitrust and regulatory agencies, and associated litigation.
Advising a drinks manufacturer on its potential liability for a competition law investigation.
Advising clients on responding to third party requests for information from various regulators.
Providing regular advice and client training on competition law issues including vertical agreements, abuse of dominance and contact with competitors.
Coordinating multi-jurisdictional merger control assessments and filings.
