Caitlin Burke is an Associate Lawyer in the Complex Commercial Litigation team, acting on large-scale disputes. Caitlin's experience covers a range of legal practice areas including funded class actions, contractual disputes, directors duties claims, shareholder disputes, employment and regulatory investigations and litigation.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Caitlin was an associate in a band-one litigation team at a leading Australian firm, acting for financial institutions, funds, technology and energy clients before the Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia.

Caitlin has strong appellate experience, having worked as the 2022 Judicial Associate to the Hon. Justice Thawley in the Federal Court of Australia.

Acting for a US Hedge Fund in proceedings arising from the termination of an employee in connection with SEC and DOJ investigations.
 

Acting for a pensions fund in a globally publicised climate test case brought by a fund member concerning investments in stranded assets.*

Acting for a large financial institution in response to a litigation funded shareholder class action.*

Acting for a bank in major investigation by the privacy regulator concerning consumer credit reporting.*

Acted for commercial vendor in contractual dispute involving claims of misleading and deceptive conduct.*
