Steve Bruns focuses his practice on commercial litigation. He began his Hogan Lovells career as a summer associate in 2021.
In law school, Steve gained valuable experience in oral and written advocacy. As a member of the University of Colorado's Appellate Advocacy Practicum, he briefed and argued a minimum wage claim under the Fair Labor Standards Act before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Steve was also a finalist for the University of Colorado's Rothgerber Moot Court Competition and won best memo in the Anti-Defamation League's Summer Associate Research Program Memo Competition. He has previously worked as an extern with the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Colorado and as a summer associate with a boutique healthcare law firm.
Before law school, Steve was a health policy analyst at a D.C. think-tank. While in D.C., he earned a Master of Public Policy degree from George Washington University.
