Björn Meilen supports national and international clients on all issues relating to compliance and internal investigations.

Björn has in-depth experience in e-discoveries and the project management of complex, large scale internal investigations including the supervision of dawn raids and communication with authorities.

Björn gained cartel law and real estate (project management) experience as research assistant and Transaction Specialist at international law firms in Düsseldorf. Furthermore, he worked at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg at the Claussen Simon Chair for International law with Prof. Dr. Doris König, Judge and Vice President at the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany and at the Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany to the European Union in Brussels.

Advising a leading automotive company on internal investigations in relation to Product Compliance topics, including dawn raid support and defense in enforcement proceedings.

Advising a German DAX 40 company on complex cartel investigations by the European Commission and the German FCO including dawn raid support.

Advising a globally leading automotive group on internal investigations regarding product non-compliance allegations including dawn raid support and communication with authorities.

 

Advising an Asian car manufacturer on an extensive dawn raid.

Advising various major companies from the automotive industry on compliance topics and large scale internal investigations including dawn raid support.

Special investigation of two financial institutions with regard to their reliability on behalf of the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).

Advising on internal investigation of a financial services company regarding money laundering allegations.

Advising a global Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company on internal investigations in numerous European countries, including corruption and antitrust allegations and potential compliance violations.
