Whether you own a property or you occupy one, you are bound to run into contentious property matters such as: dilapidations issues, tenant insolvency, service charge disputes and business lease renewals.

Ben has worked with various clients, including developers, sovereign wealth funds, institutional landlords and financial institutions to navigate through these matters. Ben is also a regular contributor to our Keeping it Real Estate blog and also contributes to external publications.

Ben joined the Real Estate Disputes team in 2015.



Representative experience

Advising institutional landlords on a high-profile CVA of a national retailer and the retailer's subsequent administration.

Appealing a decision on EU sanctions law in the Court of Appeal which enabled a sovereign wealth fund to enforce a €17m property loan in bankruptcy proceedings.

Successfully seeking permission in the High Court against the administrators of a nationwide retail chain to forfeit the leases of five retail park units.
