Francesco Barani, associate of our Italian restructuring and special situation practice, regularly advises investment funds and other financial institutions on financial restructuring and corporate turnaround transactions.
He primarily handles restructuring law matters, providing transactional assistance in the context of distressed M&A, debt trading and loan-to-own transactions.
He supports lenders and investors targeting distressed and non-distressed special situation opportunities and pursuing event-driven investment strategies.
He has also gained experience in the field of acquisition of non-performing exposures (single names and portfolios) and in the definition and implementation of the optimal routes to turnaround and/or claim collection.
Francesco graduated with honours from the Bocconi University in Milan (2017). During his studies, he spent seven months at the Freie Universität Berlin as part of a THEMIS Law Network Program.
