Cori Ast assists clients with all aspects of antitrust and competition law, guiding them through complex mergers and acquisitions and defending their interests in federal litigation. She works across industries, including health care, industrial manufacturing, and food processing.

With a rich background in health care and higher education, Cori possesses a unique skill set that helps clients navigate complex legal challenges. Before becoming a lawyer, she spent a decade as a strategic advisor to senior executives in academic medicine, writing and advising on a variety of issues like the health care workforce, health professions education, biomedical research funding, and value-based care.

Cori graduated summa cum laude from George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School, where she was involved in the Law Review and Moot Court Board. She summered at a major international law firm and interned with the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of General Counsel and the Honorable Paula Xinis in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.

In addition to her law degree, Cori holds a master’s in health services administration and bachelor’s degrees in economics and journalism from the University of Kansas. Before joining Hogan Lovells, she clerked for the Honorable Toby Crouse in the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas.
