David Antrobus is an Associate in the Restructuring and Special Situations team. David joined Hogan Lovells in 2024 from the London office of an international law firm. 

David advises lenders, directors and other stakeholders on a broad range of restructuring and corporate insolvency scenarios. He has particular experiencing acting for insolvency practitioners in pre-packaged administration sales and special administrations, including the first two insolvencies under the Payment and Electronic Money Institution Insolvency Regulations 2021.  

Representative experience

Acting for administrators of FCA regulated investment bank, Sova Capital, with US$3bn of AUM, in special administration.

Advising Interpath as special administrators of Viola Money (Europe) Ltd, the first use of the new special administration regime for Payment and Electronic Money Institutions.*

Advising Alvarez & Marsal on the pre-packaged sale of the business and certain assets of Railsr (formerly Railsbank) and its UK regulated subsidiary.*

Acting for FRP Advisory as special administrators of Xpress Money Services Limited, including in the first application to approve a distribution plan.*

Advising the board of a Royal Charter organisation in connection with their responsibilities and fiduciary duties, and contingency planning.*

*Matter handled prior to joining Hogan Lovells.
