As a senior associate in our Antitrust, Competition and Economic Regulation practice, Alice Wallace-Wright has in-depth experience advising clients on all aspects of EU and UK competition laws. Alice advises across a wide variety of business sectors with a particular focus on telecoms, media and retail. Alice's broad practice includes advising clients on merger control aspects of transactions, the impact of competition law on their commercial arrangements and on the design and implementation of competition compliance programmes. She also advises clients on competition investigations and damages actions arising out of anti-competitive conduct.

Representative experience

Advising a shipping company in relation to a European Commission investigation into price signalling.

Advising a UK bank in relation to the UK Competition and Markets Authority investigation into the retail banking market.

Advising Vodafone on the competition law aspects of its European distribution arrangements and other contentious and non-contentious matters.

Advising pharmaceutical clients on litigation and settlement strategy in the context of patent disputes.

Advising a client in the retail sector in relation to a European national competition authority investigation into the distribution of products.

Advising Outokumpu Oyj in relation to High Court proceedings arising from the copper tubes cartels.

Advising Liberty Global on the merger control aspects of its acquisition of Virgin Media, including obtaining EC merger clearance.

Advising AEG in obtaining the UK Competition Commission's phase 2 merger clearance of its acquisition of the contract to manage Wembley Arena.

Advising Tradebe Environmental Services in obtaining the UK Competition Commission's phase 2 merger clearance of its joint venture with SITA UK Limited.
