Durga's practice focuses on high-value, complex, commercial litigation. She has wide-ranging experience of advising clients on a broad range of commercial disputes, including those arising from breaches of contract, breaches of fiduciary duty, conspiracy, theft of intellectual property and fraud. She has previously practised in India and has significant experience handling domestic and cross border disputes.

She is dual qualified in England & Wales and India. Before joining Hogan Lovells, Durga worked in Mumbai in a major Indian firm.

Acting for a bonafide purchaser of an immovable property in relation to allegations of fraud and conspiracy raised by the erstwhile owners before the Bombay High Court.*

Acting for an event management company in initiating civil and criminal proceedings against its employees in relation to unauthorised use of copyrighted material before the Bombay High Court.*

Acting for a bank based in Switzerland in initiating civil and criminal proceedings in relation to misappropriation of pledged goods and fraud before the Calcutta High Court.*

Acting for a clothing retail franchisee in a domestic arbitration in India against a franchisor in relation to allegations of fraudulent misrepresentation.*

Acting for an automobile manufacturing company in relation to allegations of oppression and mismanagement raised by minority shareholders before the National Company Law Tribunal, Mumbai.*

Acting for a film entertainment company against a consumer complaint initiated before the State Consumer Dispute and Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum, Mumbai.*

Acting for an advertising agency and international hotel group in initiating proceedings in relation to the arbitrary conduct of officers of the State of Maharashtra before the Bombay High Court.*

Acting for the Government of India in relation to the constitution of the National Inter-Creditor Committee for reducing stressed assets in India.*
