Sharon Lewis is a partner in the Paris office and worldwide head of Hogan Lovells International Debt Capital Markets practice area. She advises on the full range of capital markets transactions, including corporate bonds, securitisation, repackagings, derivatives and other structured products, and equity-linked offerings. Sharon also has a strong practice in automotive-related financings, insurance-linked securities, innovative finance transactions and debt restructuring.
Sharon was recently listed as one of the 'Financial News 100 most influential women in finance'.
In March 2010 Sharon was listed in the leading French finance newspaper "Les Echos", and voted by other lawyers in the market, as one of the "Best Lawyers" in France for structured finance work.
Our team led by Sharon Lewis won Silver awards for securitisation and for equity linked and debt capital markets at the Trophées du Droit et de la Finance (Legal and Finance Awards) 2010.
Shortlisted for a number of industry awards and accolades on transactions led by Sharon Lewis, including the Lawyer Awards 2009 Banking and Finance Team of the Year for our Paris team's work on the £12.4 billion financing of the EDF acquisition of British Energy plc and the precedent setting €1.3 billion Delta SPARK securitisation transaction.
At the IFLR 2010 Europe awards the Lovells team led by Sharon Lewis was shortlisted for the Debt and Equity Linked Deal of the Year for the EDF public retail offering (and for the Team of the Year and Restructuring Deal of the Year in respect of other high profile deals of Hogan Lovells).

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
- Advising EDF on its £11 billion financing for its recommended takeover of British Energy Group plc.
- Advising FCE Bank plc on its cross border securitisations of auto retail loan, base and wholesale receivables originated across Europe in excess of €5 billion.
- Advising AXA and its European subsidiaries in Germany, Italy and Spain on a €450 million pan-European securitisation of motor insurance portfolio deviation risk.
