With nearly 30 years' experience, Warren Drue is a highly respected M&A and corporate finance practitioner and has developed a substantial practice advising large local and international listed and unlisted clients.  

He heads up the corporate team in Johannesburg and focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance transactions, equity capital markets and cross-border transactions. In recent years, Warren has focused on advising large international corporates in M&A transactions on the African continent.

Attorney to Telkom SA SOC Limited in the proposed acquisition by KT Corporation of Korea, of a 20% interest in Telkom for approximately ZAR6.5bn.

Advising Land O'Lakes Inc in the acquisition of a controlling interest in the Villa Group, including a complex restructure of the group’s 26 operating subsidiaries.

Advising the world's largest New York-listed generic pharmaceutical company in the proposed acquisition of Adcock Ingram Limited for over ZAR12.5bn.

Advised BayWa AG on the M&A and finance aspects of its first investment into South Africa regarding a joint venture with Barloworld South Africa.

Advising Acino on its acquisition of the entire issued share capital of US$100m of Litha Health Care Group from Ireland-listed Endo Luxembourg Finance Co II.

Advising PPC Limited in the acquisition of shares in a company that owns quarry rights in the DRC and developed a plant for approximately US$300m.

Lead attorney to Accor on its disposal of a company that owned four hotels in South Africa for over ZAR250m (prior to adjustments).

Lead attorney to Lesaffre, the world's largest yeast manufacturer, in the acquisition of a strategic asset in Africa.
