With over 25 years of experience, Susan McAuliffe anticipates client business needs and advocates effectively with regulators to find workable solutions.
Susan represents a wide range of transportation and manufacturing businesses in safety and environmental matters before federal and state agencies, including the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
She helps clients respond to agency investigations, understand and comply with regulatory requirements, and participate productively in rule making and other government proceedings. She routinely advises companies on motor vehicle regulatory matters, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) issues, NHTSA and EPA reporting obligations, and EPA emission standards. Susan has assisted clients in high-profile compliance matters including the Takata airbag recall, and has conducted comprehensive TREAD Act compliance audits. She is also well-versed in agency confidentiality proceedings, including advancing client confidentiality claims.
