Stephenie Gosnell Handler combines her legal experience with the leadership and problem-solving skills she learned while serving for seven years as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps in Iraq, the Far East, and across the U.S.

Stephenie represents clients in a wide range of cybersecurity matters, including cybersecurity risk assessments and mitigation strategies, cybersecurity incident responses and remediation, and regulatory compliance. She also advises clients on international trade matters, including export controls, economic sanctions, and national security reviews conducted by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Stephenie worked in the New York and Washington, D.C., offices of a global law firm. She also previously worked for the Legal Adviser to the President at the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

While at Stanford Law School, Stephenie served as co-editor-in-chief of the Stanford Journal of International Law and was the director of outreach for the Afghanistan Legal Education Project. Stephenie was a graduate fellow at the Stanford Center on International Conflict and Negotiation, a cybersecurity fellow at the Madison Policy Forum, a French-American Foundation Young Leader, and a Young Leader for the Council for the U.S. and Italy. She is also a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
