As an associate in the firm's market-leading product liability practice, Lookman Rawat advises clients in the medical devices, natural resources and tobacco industries. 

He has experience representing international clients on a range of disputes, coordinating large-scale disclosure exercises, preparing witness evidence, costs and general case management.  

With extensive involvement in tobacco-related litigation in the UK and Canada, Lookman has experience of complex cross-border litigation and the issues that can arise.

Lookman has spent time on secondment at the Royal Courts of Justice, acting as a judicial assistant to Jackson LJ on his review of fixed recoverable costs.

Lookman is a solicitor advocate qualified to appear at all levels of the English civil courts.

Representative experience

Acting for a medical devices manufacturer in group litigation in the English High Court, including managing a large-scale outsourced disclosure exercise.

Acting for an international products manufacturer on an appeal against an HMRC imposed penalty.

Acting for UK companies in relation to claims brought by individuals and state entities in Canada.

Acting for a multinational company in relation to environmental group action claims in the Niger Delta.
