Francisco Palmero focuses his practice on tax consulting in relation to federal and local taxes, corporate restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions. He also has a wealth of knowledge in International Taxes and the application of treaties to avoid double taxation.

Additionally, he has extensive experience in representing taxpayers before tax authorities during audits, tax refunds, authorizations and consultations.

Francisco is highly experienced in the defense of taxpayers before the tax authorities and the Courts of the Country. He began his professional career practicing administrative law in a boutique law firm. Later, he practiced as a trial lawyer in an important tax office in Mexico City after which he joined Barrera, Siqueiros and Torres Landa (now Hogan Lovells).

Francisco is member of the International Fiscal Association and participates in meetings and conferences related to national and international tax matters.

Advice and support in various tax audit procedures carried out to a large Mexican company for abroad payments.

Advice to different companies in the shipping industry regarding the compliance of their tax obligations, mainly in terms of Value Added Tax (VAT).

Advice on the strategy of the business structure of an electronic commerce company for raising its capital abroad.

Representation before courts in litigation related to VAT on the application of the 0% rate in different industries.

Participation in the strategy for the acquisition of a business in the entertainment sector by an investment fund abroad.
