Since 2009, Lila Gasca has successfully led the Pro Bono and Citizenship programs in the Mexico office of Hogan Lovells (previously Barrera, Siqueiros y Torres Landa).

Lila advises nonprofits, entrepreneurs, and social enterprises on a variety legal issues and is a recognized regional leader in those areas. Before devoting her practice to pro bono work, Lila provided legal services to corporate clients from 2000 to 2006, focusing on foreign investments law.

Lila has established strategic programs at Hogan Lovells to boost Citizenship, particularly the creation of corporate volunteering opportunities. Her experience as a volunteer is broad; she is the Director and founder of the association Anímate a Estudiar A.C, a nonprofit that supports young people in unfavorable economic situations to continue their studies in Mexico.

She was the founder and treasurer of Anímate a Ayudar in Spain, an organization that aimed to collect funds for social development programs in Latin American countries.

In 2018, Latin Lawyer honored her with its annual Pro Bono Award. She and several other lawyers and firms across Mexico City were recognized for their coordinated pro bono response to the devastating 7.1 magnitude earthquake that struck the region in September 2017.

Lila has also participated in several courses and programs related to corporate social responsibility in Mexico and Spain.
