Joshua Press advises clients on cross-border matters with a particular focus on financial transactions and energy and infrastructure projects. Josh has advised clients on a broad range of financial transactions, including corporate lending, asset-backed loans, interbank loans, sale/leaseback financings, mergers and acquisitions, and the financings of energy, telecommunications, and port projects.

Josh's role has included drafting transaction documents, conducting negotiations, and overseeing financial closings. He has also worked extensively on behalf of both lenders and borrowers. Josh is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, and has lived in the United States, Brazil, Ecuador, and Argentina.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Josh worked at another global law firm where he concentrated on corporate and transactional work, with a focus on energy and infrastructure transactions.

Advised a major international corporation on negotiations with more than a dozen lenders on the issuance of the company's 2014 financial statements.

Advised a consortium of multilateral institutions and international lenders on the financing of Central America's largest hydroelectric facility.

Advised a multilateral institution on the financing of two wind farms in Uruguay.

Advised a consortium of multilateral institutions and international lenders on the refinancing of a US$400m project bond.

Advised a consortium of multilateral institutions on the financing of a 300+ MW hydroelectric facility in South America.
