Johanna Banholzer works primarily in the area of litigation and product liability in the life sciences industry. She focuses on communication across international teams, bringing her clients well-rounded, thoroughly-researched legal advice. She is often called to support the development of multinational processes and defense strategies, specifically representing pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in civil liability proceedings and settlement negotiations. Her hands-on approach brings together her client's legal department, medical team as well as external experts and local counsel in other jurisdictions. Johanna works closely with the Life Sciences Litigation team to support both German and international clients with civil claims in and out of court.

On top of providing legal advice, Johanna operates as a central project manager. She is well experienced in the coordination of complex international product liability cases, as well as multi-claimant and mass tort litigations.

Advising an international leading bioscience and medical device company on claims regarding allegedly contaminated blood products, vaccines and pharmaceuticals.

Global defense of global certification company against liability claims resulting from allegedly inappropriate certification of breast implant manufacturer P.I.P.

Assisting a leading European supplier of vaccines with the defense against claims for damages and claims for information and representing the client in court proceedings.

Advising a leading pharmaceutical company in connection with a damage claim due to asserted side effects after alleged intake of a drug.

Defending a leading pharmaceutical company in more than 27 countries after the voluntary product withdrawal.

Defending a foreign medical authority against claims of a manufacturer of a medical device in German and international court proceedings.
