Daniel Honeycutt

Daniel Honeycutt advises public and private companies on a broad range of corporate and securities matters, including securities offerings, securities law compliance, and corporate governance matters. He has advised a diverse set of issuers and underwriters in more than 25 capital markets transactions.

Clients rely on Daniel's equity offering experience (including both common and preferred stock), as he has guided clients in connection with raising nearly US$10 billion in both primary and secondary offering transactions. His debt offering experience includes both investment grade and high-yield bonds, both USD and Euro-denominated transactions. Daniel has advised JOBS Act Emerging Growth Companies, registered investment companies, and real estate investment trusts, and has worked with issuers in a wide range of industries, including real estate and financial services. In addition to advising clients in capital market transactions, he provides practical advice with respect to compliance with federal securities laws relating to corporate governance and disclosure obligations.

Daniel is also a zealous advocate of Supporting and Mentoring Youth Advocates and Leaders (SMYAL), a local nonprofit that supports and empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LBGTQ) youth in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, serving on its Donors Committee. Daniel is the co-founder and president of the Washington College of Law's Lambda Alumni Association and a member of the Millsaps College Young Alumni Advisory Board.

Representative experience

Represented Colony NorthStar Credit Real Estate, Inc. in its strategic combination of a select portfolio of assets and liabilities of its sponsor with two non-traded REITS to create one of the largest credit REITs and its related NYSE listing.

Represented issuers in over US$2.1bn and €1.65bn of registered debt offerings.

Represented issuers and underwriters in over US$10.6bn of common and preferred stock equity offerings.
