Helen Bignall

Helen Bignall has an extremely broad EU and UK Competition Law practice. She has extensive experience in cartels and market investigations, competition litigation and merger control across a wide-range of industries including banking and luxury goods. She also acts for clients in relation to the application of the Groceries Supply Code of Practice (GSCOP).

Helen is recognised by clients as having a can-do, pragmatic approach to solving problems. Clients are impressed by her in-depth knowledge of the law and their industry sector which she uses to provide them with commercial advice.

Helen has recently been working on the Air Cargo case at EU level before the General Court and in the ground-breaking UK damages litigation. She has also been involved in the UK CMA retail banking market investigation.

Helen continues to advise clients on competition issues arising in the context of distribution agreements and IP licences and regularly provides compliance advice including through client seminars.

Helen has spent time on a client secondment which has given her an even greater understanding of client needs.
