Class actions in health-related matters have been recently introduced into French law. They will come into force on 1 July 2016 at the latest. Manufacturers of health and cosmetic products, suppliers and healthcare professionals using these products, as well as their civil liability insurers, will be potential targets of liability claims brought by French authorized associations by way of class actions.
