William Foubister

William Foubister

As an associate in the London Litigation Group, William's practice focusses on financial services disputes, investigations and contentious regulatory matters. He frequently helps guide institutional clients through their interactions with regulators globally, and also when their disputes lead to litigation.

William's experience encompasses a range of High Court litigation and regulator-led investigations, often with an international element. This has involved helping banks formulate a strategic approach to a number of competing objectives; minimising institutional risk and engaging effectively with authorities. He has also undertaken a six-month secondment to the legal team of a leading international bank.

Representative experience

Acting for a leading bank in a complex portfolio of litigation with a regulatory context.

Advising a leading bank on investigations into benchmarks and on engaging with regulators and authorities in multiple jurisdictions.
