As an associate in our London office, Jess Webster concentrates on international arbitration and construction disputes, with a focus on disputes in the energy sector. 

Jess advises clients from around the world on a range of complex corporate and commercial cross-border disputes. She has experience of arbitration under a variety of institutional rules, adjudications, and of litigation before the English High Court and Commercial Court.

In 2017 Jess spent 6 months on secondment at ExxonMobil where she worked a range of upstream and downstream matters with a focus on downstream disputes, the retail business, and upstream divestments and acquisitions.

Representative experience

Acting in the Commercial Court for an international oil and gas major in relation to a dispute arising under a long term gas sales agreement.

Advising a multinational energy company in relation to a criminal investigation into alleged complicity in violations of international humanitarian law.

Acting for a European energy major in an LCIA arbitration relating to the sale and prior operation of petroleum licences offshore West Africa.

Acting in LCIA proceedings in respect of a dispute under a Joint Venture Agreement regarding a US$500m development project in Russia.
