With a background in financial services, Jamie Weatherby uses her industry knowledge and passion for law to best serve her clients. Jamie advises public and private companies on a range of corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, securities law compliance, and corporate governance.

Jamie helps clients effectively execute complex business combinations and regularly counsels companies regarding ongoing SEC disclosure obligations. She has advised companies in a variety of industries including real estate, aerospace and defense, life sciences, and health care.

Before law school, Jamie worked as a financial services representative at an industry-leading financial services company where she provided a variety of services to clients, including securities trading and educating clients regarding securities and tax regulations.

Jamie graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she was a member of the Virginia Law & Business Review. Additionally, Jamie was a member of UVA's Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, where she advised a startup company on a variety of formation and governance issues and drafted the company's formation documents and ancillary agreements.
