Prior to joining our Singapore office, Vi practiced law in the firm's New York office for over 10 years and as an assistant general counsel for a New York-based global financial services company.

Representative experience

Conducting internal investigations of employees and senior executives for theft, embezzlement, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and violation of laws and company policy.

Conducting an internal investigation for a large Vietnamese manufacturing company into alleged bribery and corruption matters in Vietnam.

Advising an Asia-based commodities trading company in an investigation by the FBI and U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) for alleged sanctions violations and money laundering.

Acting as head legal counsel for a Las Vegas gaming company to develop a compliance and anti-money laundering (AML) program pursuant to a DOJ nonprosecution agreement.

Advising a global Japanese manufacturing company on bribery- and corruption-related matters and developing an effective compliance program for operations in Vietnam.

Reviewing and developing compliance policies for a global technology, defense, and engineering company in relation to the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).

Advising an international credit rating agency in relation to AML, counter-terrorist financings, and sanctions compliance.

Conducting workplace and compliance training for managers, human resources professionals, and employees.

Representing management in mediations, arbitrations, and litigations in U.S. state and federal courts and before federal, state, and local U.S. agencies.
