Hogan Lovells senior associate Vanessa Castillo focuses her practice on corporate, regulatory, and finance matters. She advises clients on financial transactions, project finance, data protection and privacy issues, analysis of commercial agreements and EPC agreements, and exchange control regulations. Vanessa works with pharmaceutical companies on regulatory issues, with particular emphasis on the marketing of medicines.
Through her involvement with the firm's pro bono practice, Vanessa assists nonprofit organizations on regulatory, tax, and labor matters.
Prior to obtaining her law degree, Vanessa worked as a paralegal for the Hogan Lovells office in Caracas. In law school, Vanessa participated in the Model United Nations, representing Universidad Central de Venezuela. She served as Faculty Advisor of her delegation in the Harvard National Model United Nations 2012. Vanessa was recognized by Universidad Central de Venezuela with the "Premio al Mérito Estudiantil" for the extracurricular activities developed during her studies.
