As an associate at our Finance Group, Valentin Knobloch focuses his practice on banking and finance matters. He brings experience in corporate, real estate and structured finance, capital markets and securitization transactions. He also has experience in general corporate, tax and labour law. Valentin advises financial institutions and multinational corporations from diverse industries and credit institutions. Already during his studies, Valentin focused on international company law, working in major multinational players in the steel industry and the pharmaceutical industry. After his studies at Cologne University, he did a doctoral thesis comparing German and Brazilian labour law, working closely with the world leader in premium tubular solutions serving Energy and Industry markets.
Prior to joining the Finance department of Hogan Lovells, Valentin worked in capital markets at a highly respected German law firm in Cologne, in the legal department of a multinational company in Brazil and in corporate and tax law at a major local Luxembourg firm. Having worked in three different countries (Germany, Brazil and Luxembourg) and in several areas of company law (corporate, tax, finance and labour law) Valentin has extensive experience and a good feeling for the needs in multinational and global transactions. Having the necessary language skills and intercultural competences he is currently focussing on the Latin market
