Sven Seibold

Sven Seibold focuses on advising financial institutions, debt funds, insurance companies, private equity firms as well as corporate borrowers in the area of banking and financial law. He has extensive experience in national and cross-border acquisition finance, real estate finance, corporate finance and debt restructuring transactions. Sven has gathered experience in portfolio financings and a broad range of capital markets matters (promissory note loans (Schuldscheindarlehen), bonds, EMTNs).

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Sven worked for two and a half years for a major US law firm in Frankfurt and was seconded to an internationally operating German bank (documentation and legal advice concerning capital markets, euro loans, derivatives). Sven studied law at the University of Konstanz. He completed his legal traineeship in Stuttgart and San Francisco.

Representative experience

Advising a Luxembourg debt fund in relation to a broad range of commercial and/or residential real estate financings.

Advising FRESSNAPF Group (Allegro Invest SE) on its first syndicated financing.

Advising the financing banks (Deutsche Hypo, Berlin Hyp and HSH Nordbank et al.) on the €960m financing of DIC Asset AG's real estate portfolio.

Advising Deutsche Bank AG, Amsterdam Branch, as Co-ordinating Mandated Lead Arranger on a borrowing base financing for VDM Metals Group.

Advising HNA Group Co Ltd. on the €1.5bn debt and equity financing related to the acquisition of Swissport Group.

Advising ETERNA Mode GmbH, one of Quadriga's portfolio companies, on a refinancing.

Advising Westbrook Acquisitions, L.L.C. on the financing of the acquisition of the Vattenfall headquarters.
