Suzanne qualified at the beginning of the credit crunch and was immediately able to leverage her experience of capital markets and banking in a contentious context. She has since advised on numerous banking disputes including those involving structured and trade finance. Her cases are often multi-jurisdictional and usually have an international element. Exposure to contentious insolvency and fraud has required her to become adept at obtaining and enforcing freezing injunctions and assisting clients to trace and recover misappropriated assets.
A Senior Associate in our commercial litigation practice, Suzanne's clients are primarily banks, financial institutions and insolvency practitioners. She has also acted for a number of high net worth individuals and multi-national corporations. Suzanne has spent time on secondment to the Group General Counsel's Office at Standard Chartered Bank. This experience further enhanced her understanding of the complex business challenges her clients face and the kind of legal advice and support they need. Suzanne prides herself on her ability to deliver commercial, strategy-driven and user-friendly advice.
She trained with us and was seconded to our New York office. This, combined with the international nature of her work, has enabled her to develop a strong network of contacts throughout the firm. She is able to harness this network to function as a team across departments and offices.
