Roland focuses on corporate finance and commercial law including banking, capital markets, and corporate M&A. Roland has comprehensive experience in the public offering of shares, bonds and mutual funds in Indonesia. In addition, Roland is also actively involved in work related to information technology sector in Indonesia such as electronic signatures, personal data protection, e-commerce and electronic systems providers.

Seconded to PT Bank ANZ Indonesia advising several business units including institutional banking, wealth products and management, and procurement on legal-related issues.

Representing the Singapore branch of a Japanese bank in the provision of a JP¥12trillion term loan facility to its holding company that operates a chain of convenience stores in Indonesia.

Representing the Indonesian branch of multinational bank based in London in extending a US$25m committed term loan facility to the Indonesian subsidiary of a Korean-based car manufacturer.

 

Representing the Hong Kong branch of a Chinese bank in providing a HK$305,900,000 term loan facility to a coal mining company operating in Muara Enim, Indonesia.

Representing several investment management companies in Indonesia in the formation of a mutual fund in the form of a collective investment contract.*

Representing the syndicated lenders in relation to a US$130m loan to the biggest state-owned bank focusing on housing mortgages. It was the first ever APLMA transaction for the borrower.

Representing a multinational banking and financial services company headquartered in London on the restructuring of a US$1bn loan facility to a group of Indonesian coal mining companies.

Advising the financial arm of one of Indonesia’s diversified business groups in the US$33m Series C investment in Indonesia's leading healthcare services platform.

Advising a corporate venture capital client based in Japan and the local venture capital company in Indonesia in the US$23.5m Series C investment in a peer-to-peer lending company in Indonesia.

Advising the Indonesian subsidiary of a Qatar-based bank in their queries on assignment of receivables (cessie) under Indonesian law.

Advising the Singapore branch of an American reinsurance company in their query regarding enforceability of a cut-through clause under Indonesian bankruptcy law.
