Sultan Akbar

Sultan Akbar has broad experience of corporate and commercial transactions within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and has specific experience in employment law and litigation.

He works closely with the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) and has filed numerous major applications in Saudi Arabia. Before joining Hogan Lovells, Sultan was legal counsel for a major Saudi investment company. Sultan is fluent in Arabic and English and holds an LLB from the University of Northumbria, UK.

A Saudi investment company on the acquisition of a casual dining business.

Acted for SEDCO on the acquisition of a textiles brand in Saudi Arabia.

Acted for Alstom in relation to General Electric major share acquisition.

Advising in relation to joint venture agreements between Saudi partners and foreign partners including SAGIA licensing and incorporation processes.

On various Saudi labour law issues for large Saudi corporates and multinationals.

Numerous international clients in relation to establishing a presence in Saudi Arabia, including incorporation of limited liability companies and setting up branch offices.
