Charles W. Stones

As a senior associate in our Tax group, Charles Stones focuses his practice on transactional tax matters. He brings years of experience advising corporations, partnerships, REITs, and other clients on the tax and economic consequences of taxable and tax-free mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, securities offerings, and reorganizations.

Charles also has valuable experience working with tax-exempt clients and advising clients on tax controversy matters.

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Charles worked in the Boston and Washington, D.C. offices of a global law firm, where he handled a wide variety of transactional tax matters. While in law school at Georgetown, Charles was the Submissions Editor for the Georgetown Journal of Law and Public Policy.
