Zachary Sterling advises clients on corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, corporate governance, and licensing and collaborations.

Zac earned his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law, an M.B.A. from the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics, an M.A. in International Commerce from the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce, and a B.A. in criminology with a minor in philosophy from the University of Illinois-Chicago. During law school, Zac served as an articles editor for the Kentucky Journal of Equine, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Law. His note, "Ripeness in the Administrative Context," was published in the journal.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Zac worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Jennifer Henderson in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Alabama. Before graduating law school, he gained valuable experience as a legal intern in the Office of International Affairs at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. and as an international economics intern at the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development.
